Assistant Clerk

A vacancy has arisen for the post of a full-time Assistant Clerk for duties within the Bulk Posting section. This role reports to the Bulk Posting Supervisor with the current the working hours being from Monday to Friday from 0830 to 1700hrs.

The main responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

  • The checking and counting of bulk mail that is accepted over the counter;
  • Cancelling of bulk mail posting;
  • Handling of boxes and the physical conveyance of bulk mail to other sections;
  • Other general office duties.

Applicants as a minimum shall:

  • be able to read and write at least in English, ideally also in Maltese;
  • be fully physically fit and able to lift and able to work also through the handling/carrying of weight;
  • have an open and positive personality with good work ethics, capable of working within a small unit;
  • be able to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision;
  • hold a clean criminal record.
