We invite you to post your Christmas cards and parcels well before the recommended post by dates below, particularly for international deliveries.
We recommend that you shop online early for you gifts and that you complete your Christmas shopping by Friday, 28 November 2025. If you are purchasing items from non-EU countries, it is best to buy from merchants that collect EU VAT on checkout when you submit your payment.
We remain committed to deliver all postal items that arrive in Malta the next working day unless they are withheld for inspection by Malta Customs.

If you are sending cards and gifts to your family and friends in Malta this Christmas, write their full address details including the correct postcode. This help us to get your letters and parcels easily sorted and delivered. To find an address and its postcode go online to "Postcode Finder": www.maltapost.com/postcode. Do also confirm that you have the correct and updated door number and street name of the intended recipient.

You can easily purchase your Postage Stamps from the comfort of your home through our online shop at www.maltapost.com/postagestamps. Your order will be delivered straight to your door and free of charge.
By agreement with the Malta Communications Authority, all Post Offices will be closed and there will be no delivery of mail on Friday, 26 December 2025 and Friday, 2 January 2026. Regular postal services will resume on Saturday, 27 December 2025 and Saturday, 3 January 2026, respectively.
The Post Office at South Street, Valletta will close at 4pm on Wednesday 24 December 2025 and Wednesday 31 December 2025.
