“Maltese Festa” Stamp Issue

MaltaPost plans to issue a series of stamps depicting processional statues of the various churches in the Maltese Islands.

The first issue consisting of ten stamps will depict the ten statues of the Assumption of Our Lady found in churches in Malta and Gozo.

 

The stamps of the Assumption will be the first in a series that will form a collection featuring processional statues from various churches around Malta and Gozo. The first issue includes 10 stamps, 10 illustrated cards and 10 envelopes. Clients who order this collection before the 30th September 2017 will be given a binder free of charge.

 

 

The stamps within the first issue of the ‘Maltese Festa series’ bear a face value of €0.26 each. They were produced at Printex Ltd by the offset process and the issue consists of 1,540,000 stamps. The issue will be sold in sheets of 10 stamps and each stamp measures 31mm by 44mm with a perforation of 13.9 x 14.0 (comb) bearing the Maltese cross watermark. Each sheet measures 182mm by 115mm.
