I.T. System Administrator

The incumbent will have the opportunity to grow in one of Malta's major logistics companies. Having one of the most extensive retail networks on the island and a document scanning and storage facility, MaltaPost is a well-established company with a complex local and international IT environment that is going through a transformation journey to adopt new technologies in the provision of its services.

The main duties of this role include, but are not limited to:


  • Maintain IT Systems and liaise with 3rd parties to resolve issues and sustain business continuity. Systems include, amongst others, O365, Check Point, Veeam backup, PRTG, telephony and connectivity;
  • Ensure that service requests and user incidents are resolved in a timely manner;
  • Troubleshoot systems and network issues;
  • Server maintenance and configuration in both physical and virtual environments;
  • AD design, setup and maintenance;
  • Maintain documentation of network infrastructure and any changes applied;


  • Ensure that routine system backups are carried out, and that business continuity plans are in place;
  • Ensure end-point and network security;
  • Ensure that procedures with respect to company's business continuity and disaster recovery are always up to date

Ideal candidates would have:

  • Ideally possess an MQF Level 6 qualification in Computer Engineering or Computer Systems & Networks;
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of ICT experience in enterprise systems administration, networks and systems engineering;
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, in both English and Maltese.
