MaltaPost launches ‘Kartolina għall-Istrina’ to raise funds for the Malta Community Chest Fund Found

In the coming days, MaltaPost will be launching a special edition of Christmas Cards and all the proceeds from these cards will go to the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation.

MaltaPost took this initiative following an appeal for help from the foundation that is currently suffering from a shortfall in donations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation provides financial, material and professional support to people experiencing difficulties because of severe chronic illness and person with disabilities and encourages support from the public.

This set of 8 assorted lovely Christmas Cards portrays different themes related to the Christmas Season including The Nativity, a masterpiece by local artist Giuseppe Cali, scenes from classic paintings and artworks from local artists Alison Agius and Claire Marie Medati Stride. The artworks by these 2 artists were chosen from 40 submissions received following a public call from ARTZ ID at the beginning of October.

"Christmas is bound to look very different this year. To help control the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we will have to limit social contact and make sacrifices to keep ourselves and loved ones safe. This is the moment to find alternative solutions to express our wishes to our loved ones. Those sending ‘Kartolina għall-Istrina' will also be supporting the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation for a good cause" said Malta Post Chief Executive Officer Joseph Gafá.

The set ‘Kartolina għall-Istrina' is available for sale at all Post Offices, online at www.maltapost.com/christmascards and from the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation at the Presidential Palace in Valletta and San Anton Palace. Online orders will be delivered to address by post.

The set is also available for companies wishing to send customised Corporate Christmas Cards. Orders for Corporate Christmas Cards can be done by sending an email to fjfarrugia@maltapost.com or calling 2596 1115 by 7 December 2020.
