MaltaPost Supports Dr Klown’s NoseOn! Campaign

As the local trusted fulfilment company, complementing its core postal services, MaltaPost is contributing to Dr Klown's fundraising campaign ‘Nose On' by supporting the entire delivery process by packing, labelling envelopes and delivering the red noses.

Dr Klown is an NGO, active in Mater Dei Hospital that provides hospitalised children distraction and stress relief through fun and laughter. This NGO is made up of a team of volunteers who visit every child, every week in Mater Dei to alleviate some of the pain and stress that these hospitalised children and their parents go through.

The campaign ‘Nose On' aims to raise funds for the continuous training and development of the experienced Klowns as well as the "new" Klowns, who have recently passed a stringent selection process.

The campaign encourages groups of people or individuals to purchase a red clown nose from Dr Klown‘s website www.drklown.org against a donation, put it on, take a photo and post it on Dr Klown's Facebook page. This initiative also aims to raise awareness about this NGO which depends entirely on the generosity of the public.

As an e-commerce partner who assists customers through the full process from packaging to delivering of any mail item irrespective of size, MaltaPost is supporting this good cause by running the entire administrative tasks behind this project free of charge. This CSR activity follows a number of initiatives organised by MaltaPost in aid of the Paediatric Wards of Mater Dei Hospital, where Klown Doctors work, in which MaltaPost employees joined forces to donate toys and thousands of crayons to hospitalised children.

Yolande Spiteri Head of Customer Experience at MaltaPost stated that "When we heard about this initiative we couldn't but offer our support through our services. We are therefore delighted to lend a helping hand to Dr Klown, the work they do is invaluable and they literally make the world a better place.

We would like to join Dr Klown's appeal and encourage the public to give a donation and buy red noses for themselves, for their colleagues, friends and family. We will deliver them right to your doorstep in Malta and Gozo".

Dr Klown's President Maurice Sleypen expressed his appreciation:"We are not equipped to take care of the deliveries of the red noses and the cost of so many deliveries would have been expensive and therefore diminish the value of the donations. However now with the help of MaltaPost we can now reach every household and business in Malta and Gozo" he explained.

MaltaPost staff extended this initative by donating money and taking photos with the Red Nose on.
