On the 05th of September 2022, MaltaPost plc marks the life of Mother Teresa by commemorating the 25th anniversary of her passing, with a specially designed stamp and a miniature sheet.
Born Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu in Skopje, in 1910. Mother Teresa as she came to be known, was an Albanian-Indian Roman Catholic nun who spent most of her life in India. At 18 she left home to join the Sisters of Loreto at Loreto Abbey in Rathfarnham, Ireland, to learn English. She was intent on becoming a missionary and English was the language of instruction of the Sisters of Loreto in India.
In 1979 she was the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. Mother Teresa died in September 1997 due to heart failure and in 2016 was canonized by Pope Francis in St Peter's Square, Vatican City. She remains one of the most widely admired personalities of the 20th century.
This stamp and miniature sheet were designed by Shanice Farrugia. The stamp within the miniature sheet measures 31 mm x 44 mm, with a comb perforation of 13.9 x 14.0 and bears the Maltese Cross watermark. The miniature sheet itself measures 120 mm x 80 mm and was produced in the offset process by Printex Ltd. The issue consists of 30,000 miniature sheets with each sheet bearing a value of €3. 00

Fil-05 ta' Settembru 2022, MaltaPost plc se toħroġ bolla f'miniature sheet kif ukoll timbru specjali biex tfakkar il-25 anniversarju mill-mewt ta' Santa Tereża ta' Kalkutta.
Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu twieldet fi Skopje, fl-1910. Madre Tereża, kif kienet aħjar magħrufa kienet soru Albaniża-Indjana ta' reliġjon Kattolika Rumana li qattgħet ħafna minn ħajjitha fl-Indja. Ta' 18-il sena telqet mid-dar biex tingħaqad mas-Sorijiet ta' Loreto f'Loreto Abbey f'Rathfarnham, l-Irlanda, biex titgħallem l-Ingliż. Hija kellha l-intenzjoni li ssir missjunarja u l-Ingliż kien il-lingwa ta' istruzzjoni tas-Sorijiet ta' Loreto fl-Indja.
Fl-1979 hija rċeviet il-Premju Nobel għall-Paċi. Madre Tereża mietet f'Settembru tal-1997 minħabba mard fil-qalb u fl-2016 ġiet ikkanonizzata mill-Papa Franġisku fi Pjazza San Pietru, fil-Belt tal-Vatikan. Hija tibqa' waħda mill-personalitajiet l-aktar ammirati tas-seklu 20.

Il-miniature sheet hija ta' daqs 120 mm x 80 mm u ġiet pprintjata minn Printex Limited bi proċess offset. Il-ħarġa tikkonsisti fi 30,000 miniature sheet tal- €3.00.
