In a departure from the more traditional choice theme, MaltaPost will issue a set of three stamps on the 29 of October, that are taken squarely from the contemporary world of comics. The artworks have been selected from Impressions of an Island - a publication by Heritage Malta in collaboration with Wicked Comics. They illustrate three images, all of which refer in some way, to our local culture.
The stamp set is designed by Fabio Agius, Lee Townsend and Mario Torrisi. The stamps will be issued in a sheet of 10 stamps, with each stamp measuring 31mm x 44mm, with a comb perforation of 13.9 x 14.0 and bearing the Maltese Cross watermark. The sheets measure 185mm x 118mm and were produced by Printex Ltd in the offset process. The issue consists of 500,000 of the €0.05 stamp, 30,000 of the €1.70 stamp and 300,000 the €2.50 stamp.
The stamps will be available from all Post Offices in Malta and Gozo from Saturday 29th October 2022. Ħarġa ta' Bolli - Comic Art f'Malta
Fid-29 t'Ottubru 2022, MaltaPost se toħroġ sett ta' tlett bolli f'ħarġa differenti lil hinn mit- tradizjonijiet tas-soltu. Din il-ħarġa ġiet meħuda mid-dinja tal- ‘Comics' u qegħdin jirreferu wkoll għall-kultura lokali. Id-disinji ta' dan is-sett ġew mehuda minn ‘Impressions of an Island' li ġie ppublikat minn Heritage Malta b'kollaborazzjoni ma' ‘Wicked Comics'.
Dan is-sett ta' bolli gie iddisinjat minn Fabio Agius, Lee Townsend kif ukoll minn Mario Torrisi. Is-sett se jinħareġ f'folja t'għaxar bolli. Kull bolla hija ta' daqs 31mm x 44mm, b'perforazzjoni ta' 13.9 x 14.0 (comb.) u l-folja hija ta' daqs 185mm x 118mm. Il-bolli ġew stampati b'watermark tas-Salib ta' Malta u Printex Limited ipproduċa dan is-sett b'metodu offset. Il-ħarġa f'din is-sensiela tikkonsisti f'500,000 tal-€0.05, f'30,000 bolla tal-€1.70 u 300,000 taż-€2.50.
