Documents Required for Collection from a Post Office
Collection in Person
• The receiver is to present the Delivery Notice received together with Identification (ID card, Passport or Driving Licence) in original
Collection on behalf of Someone Else
• The representative must present the Delivery Notice received together with Identification (ID card, Passport or Driving Licence) in original of both the recipient and himself/herself
• The representative may also produce a valid Power of Attorney document (in any form permitted by the Laws of Malta) together with his/her Identification in original. A copy of the Power of Attorney may be accepted as long as it is certified as a true copy of the original by a pubic notary or advocate.
Item addressed to an entity
• If the item is addressed to an entity, the person collecting the item should present a declaration from the entity authorising same person to collect the item on the entity's behalf together with his/her Identification in original.
Item addressed to a minor (under 18 years of age)
• The birth certificate of the minor concerned and an Identification document in original of the person collecting the postal article on behalf of the minor is to be presented together with the Delivery Notice. The address on the Identification document of the person collecting the postal article must match the address on the postal article.
