Retail Sales & Service Official

Vacancies have arisen for the post of Sales & Service Official I in the Retail Assistant grade for duties within the Company’s Retail Branch network. The role reports to the Branch Officer, with dotted lines into the Supervisor Retail Administration and the Retail Area Manager.

The main responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

  • selling MaltaPost products and services over the counter;
  • promoting and upselling such products and services;
  • providing an optimum customer experience.

Applicants as a minimum shall:

  • hold 5 Ordinary/ Matsec level passes at MQF level 3 or equivalent;
  • hold an E.C.D.L certification or equivalent – this may include holding an MQF Level 3 or higher certification in Computer studies or a pass from an internal test for those who would have beenworking within the Company on a computer-based job for at least the past 6 months;
  • have good interactive skills to effectively engage with staff and customers;
  • possess strong organisational skills and be able to prioritise work to meet deadlines;
  • have excellent spoken and written communication skills preferably in both Maltese and English;
  • be in possession of a clean police conduct certificate;
  • hold a clean disciplinary record.

The appointment is subject to a 6-month probationary period. Working hours are Monday to Saturday anywhere between 07:00 to 19:45.

Previous experience in retail, sales or in a customer service-oriented role will be considered an asset.
