IT Applications Support Specialist

A vacancy has arisen for the post of a full-time IT Applications Support Specialist to carry duties within the Company's Information Systems team.

As a Support Specialist, you shall be responsible for the support of the software applications and will work closely with other members of the team on projects, which will add new functionality, bring efficiencies and improve customer experience.

MaltaPost p.l.c. is a well-established company with an extensive IT environment, that is going through a transformation journey to adopt new technologies in the provision of its logistics and document management services.

The main responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
• Troubleshoot application issues to ensure business continuity at all times and escalate to a higher level of support when required;
• Provide application support to users;
• Gather and document business requirements to ensure that new applications functionality deliver business expectations;
• Verify new functionality and assist in the UAT process.

Applicants shall:

• Either hold or be in at an advanced stage of obtaining a qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field;
• Have analytical mindset, problem solving skills and excellent teamwork;
• Be able to communicate effectively in English both written and spoken;
• Possess a valid driving licence.
