To commemorate the 200th anniversary from the Death of Napoléon Bonaparte, MaltaPost will issue a miniature sheet bearing one stamp.
The French military leader is widely recognised as one of the greatest strategists and finest commanders in history. He conquered and controlled most of Europe. In 1798 he took control of the Maltese Islands ending the 268-year-long presence of the Knights Hospitaller in Malta.
The stamp within the miniature sheet measures 49 mm x 40.5mm, with a comb perforation of 14.2 x 14.2 and bearing the Maltese Cross watermark. The miniature sheet itself measures 120 mm x 80 mm and was produced in the offset process by Printex Ltd. The issue, designed by MaltaPost, consists of 20,000 miniature sheets with each sheet bearing a value of €5.00.
This philatelic issue will be available from all post offices in Malta and Gozo as from the date of issue, Wednesday 5th May 2021. Fil-5 ta' Mejju 2021, MaltaPost se toħroġ bolla f' miniature sheet biex tfakkar il-mitejn sena mill-mewt ta' Napoléon Bonaparte.
Napoléon Bonaparte kien kmandant Franċiż fejn huwa rikonoxxut bħala wieħed mill-akbar mexxeja u strateġisti militari fl-Istorja. Hu rnexxielu jirbaħ u jakkwista ħafna mill-Ewropa. Fl-1798 hu irnexxielu jieħu l-kontroll tal-Gżejjer Maltin u b'hekk intemmet il-preżenza ta' 268 sena tal-Kavallieri f'Malta.
Din il-ħarġa se tikkonsisti f'bolla waħda li se toħroġ f'miniature sheet. Din il-bolla hija ta' daqs 49mm x 40.5mm, b'perforazzoni ta' 14.2 x 14.2 u għandha watermark bis-salib ta' Malta. Il-miniature sheet hija ta' daqs 120 mm x 80 mm u ġiet ipprintjata minn Printex Limited bi proċess offset. Il-bolla u l-miniature sheet ġew iddisinjati mill-MaltaPost u l-ħarġa se tikkonsisti f'20,000 miniature sheet b' kull waħda b' valur ta' €5.00.
